Funding Opportunity Title: Funding for Funding for Study Abroad
Description of Funding Opportunity: This funding opportunity was created to help supplement education costs related to study abroad or education abroad experiences for high school and university students. The grant can be applied towards:
- registration fees
- tuition expenses
- flight expenses
- passport fees
- travel supplies (luggage, universal chargers, toiletries, etc.)
If you need funding for something that is not listed above, you can still submit your request and our Board of Directors will review the request for approval.
Entry Period and When Winners are Selected: If you are studying abroad in the…
- Spring Semester: The application period is from September 1 through November 30; Winner will be notified in December
- Summer Semester: The application period is from February 1 through April 30; Winners notified in May
- Winter Semester: The application period is from June 1 through July 31; Winners notified in August
Amount of Funding: up to $250
Eligibility Requirements:
- Applicants must be at least 16 years of age; applicants under 18 must provide their parents phone number and email address in the application
- Applicants must complete the funding application at the bottom of this page.
- Applicant must complete a short explanation that explains why they are requesting this funding. (100 to 200 words)
- Applicants must include proof of expenses. Examples include receipt or bill

Explanation Requirements: Using 100 to 300 words, please explain to us why you are requesting this funding. As you are writing, you should include the following:

- What is the study abroad experience you are applying for? Tell us about the country you will visit, the educational institution where you will study, and the types of classes will you take there.
- What will the funds be used for? Be specific about how this money will help you on this study abroad experience.
- Tell us specifics about any charges you have received or will receive
Upload a file: You must send us proof of what you intend to use the funds for. You can submit a receipt for an item you purchased, screenshot of an item you intend to purchase, a bill/invoice from an education institution or business, or similar types of documentation. You will only be able to upload one file.
