The BEACON Institute is a 501(c)(3) federally recognized nonprofit organization whose mission is contribute to:
- the enhancement of education for all
- the improvement of accessibility for individuals with disabilities
- and the enrichment of various community groups through funding opportunities that support initiatives for animal welfare, health & wellness, international aid, religious organizations, senior citizens, and veterans (to name a few).
Our logo features a lighthouse because we want to be a BEACON of hope to those who may be lost or seeking help during difficult times, the same way a lighthouse helps guide boats in the dark back to safety.

At this time, we are not issuing awards as we are currently applying for grants and seeking donations in order to raise money to support our mission of helping the public. We expect to start issuing our first funding opportunities in Fall 2026.
We are also currently planning a large community event that will be open to the public. The event will have the goal of raising money for The BEACON Institute and will be held in Montgomery, AL. It will most likely be held in August or September of 2026. MORE DETAILS TO COME SOON!
