Funding Opportunity Title: Funding for Tools that Improve Accessibility
Description of the Funding Opportunity: This funding opportunity is to help those with disabilities purchase tools or technology that will aid them in their daily lives. We also may have what you need already and can donate the tool to you. Here are a few examples of what the funding can be used for:
- Tools that Aid Mobility – walkers, walking canes, crutches, etc.
- Tools that Aid with Vision Impairment- magnifiers, Alexa devices, home phones with talking caller ID
- Tools that Assist with Hearing Impairment- hearing aids, closed caption systems, etc.
- Speech Tools- voice amplifying system, text to speech devices
- Voice-activated smart home devices (Alexa, voice controlled lights, thermostat, etc.)
- Daily Living tools- dressing aids, reaching tools, shoe horns, adapted kitchen tools
- Specialized cell phones and other electronic devices
If you need funding for something that is not listed above, you can still submit your request and our Board of Directors will review the request for approval.
Entry Period and Winner Announcements: This funding opportunity will open at the beginning of each month and close at the end of each month, unless otherwise noted on this page. Winners will be announced at the end of the following month. (Example: For entries submitted between January 1- January 31, a winner will be notified by the end of February.)
Amount of Funding: up to $100 or we may purchase the accessibility tool for you
Eligibility Requirements:
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age
- Applicants must complete the funding application at the bottom of this page.
- Applicant must complete a short explanation that explains why they are requesting this funding. (100 to 300 words)
- Applicants must include proof of expenses. Examples include receipt or price quote

- Tell us specifics about any charges you have received or will receive
Upload a file: You must send us proof of what you intend to use the funds for. You can submit a receipt for an item you purchased, screenshot of an item you intend to purchase, a bill from a business, or similar types of documentation. You will only be able to upload one file.
The only personal information that can be shown in your document is your name. You should remove all other personal and private information from the file you upload! For your safety, cover up or black out any private information such as addresses, birthdates, social security numbers, account numbers, etc.
